Winner of the 2019 Milligan Competition College Division, harpist Xing Gao will perform an virtuosic recital featuring works by Bach, Saint-Saens, Handel, Parish-Alvars, and Debussy. She will be joined by violinist Anite Stroh. Recital is free and open to the public, will last about an hour, and will be followed by a light reception.

This year, Xing will be receiving her Master's Degree in Music from the Shepherd School at Rice University, where she studied under the tutelage of Paula Page. In May 2019, she will be joining the HangZhou Philharmonic Orchestra in China as their principal harpist, thus starting her orchestral career. This recital will be her final solo performance in Houston, and will be an event not to be missed! Please join us as we wish her well on her new career in China.
