A Message From Our President
|
|
|
Hello Harpists!
It is back to school season, and I hope all of our students, teachers, and families are having a safe and fun return to school. The GHC is also gearing up for some exciting fall events: our Milligan Winner’s Recital, a region masterclass with Houston Symphony harpist Megan Conley, and a Houston area virtual harp college fair. Make sure you renew your membership today to support our chapter’s activities and ensure your eligibility for participation in events throughout the season. Stay safe and healthy, and I can’t wait to see you at one of our chapter events!

Houston Symphony principal harpist Megan Conley will give a masterclass for high school students preparing for region auditions.
September 26, 3-5pm
Dudley Recital Hall
3401 Cullen Blvd, Houston, TX 77004
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to get a fresh perspective on their region repertoire, learn from a master harpist, and shake out some performance jitters before audition. Masks will be required for all in-person participants.
Please use the form at this link to register. Registration is $25 for performers and $10 for auditors. We’re hoping to have this event in person, but it may be moved online due to the pandemic.
All performers and auditors must be members of the Houston Harp Chapter. If you are not already a member, you may join here: https://houstonharpists.com/join/
A Zoom link will be provided at further notice.
