I want to welcome our new board members: Susanna Campbell, Kelsey Sham, and Emily Klein. Our board will be meeting over the summer to make plans for next season, so please let me know if you have any ideas for programming or want to get involved!

Houston Summer Harp Festival
July 12th – 17th, 2021 at Houston Baptist University:

Bringing together young harpists in a fun and educational atmosphere for a 6-day non-competitive immersion of the harp and its music. We offer:
On-campus housing
2 levels of harp ensembles
Workshops
Master classes
Private lessons
Faculty performances
Finale concert by our participants
Make new friends
FOR LEVER AND PEDAL HARP STUDENTS
Ages 11 – 19
Commuter students are welcome
Scholarships available
Limited instrument rental available
No audition required for participants

Virtual Houston Summer Festival Harp Experience
Dates: July 26th – 28th
Times: 9:30am – 12:30pm
Registration deadline: July 12th
Who: Middle school aged – Adult harpists
Our virtual camp will be an opportunity for harpists to participate in workshops and masterclasses and tap into more expressive and confident playing on solo music. Students will participate in exciting workshops, enjoy one-one-one instruction from our faculty, get to know fellow harpists in break-out rooms, and hone performance skills. Whether you are a 6th grade beginner, an advanced high school player, or an adult learner, we are excited to help you take your playing to the next level and inspire you to reach your harp goals!

One Pedal Off Digital Conference & Competition

Founded by harpist Kristina Finch, the One Pedal Off Conference and Competition focuses on topics such as new music, professional skills, and how to compose for the harp! Guest speakers include Brandee Younger, Katherine Siochi, Rosanna Moore, Noel Wan, and more. Visit the website here for more information.
